In 1990 the operation moved down the road to coastal Yamba where it still operates as a family business. Our product range has increased from our original Sprouted Wheat loaf and our Sprouted Rye loaf to a total of eleven varieties. This has been achieved by the introduction of different grains and combinations of grains, plus the addition of dates and walnuts to two varieties to produce cake like loaves. OUR AIM is to produce the healthiest bread available and we are certain that we do. Our plain loaves are made from Demeter certified Biodynamic grains soaked in filtered water in stainless steel vats in a controlled atmosphere. The water is drained and the grain is grown into healthy sprouts. When ready the sprouts are minced, shaped into a loaf and oven baked at a relatively low temperature. We use a trace amount of extra virgin olive oil to help release the loaf from the baking pan. There are no additives or preservatives used. Other producers of sprouted bread in Australia add detrimental ingredients such as sunflower oil (as an ingredient), flour, gluten,salt, yeast and vinegar.
