Seaview Syrah

Description

Seaview is close to the heart of McLaren Vale and produces wines which are luscious and concentrated with flavours of dark berries and dark chocolate. The ironstone found underneath the soils provides a rich dark mineral backbone to the wines. Region: McLaren Vale Sub Region: Seaview Altitude: 110mtrs Soil: Grey sandy loam. Fine grained sandy soils. Minerals: Blanche point formation, layers of sandstone, limestone and then into large ironstone bedrock. Review: 97 points - Richly fruited and enticing, the wine shows black/blueberry, clove, black tea and floral aromas with a light touch of oak complexity. The concentrated palate offers plush mouthfeel and beautifully layered textures backed by fine-grained tannins, making it imposing and graceful at the same time.
