To enable us to offer you the highest safety for your child we only use synthetic plastic clasps with a screw thread which has been glued into the barrel of the clasp NOT sterling silver clasps. Sterling silver clasps are designed for fashion and high end jewellery so that the clasps DO NOT release and so you don’t lose your jewellery. Plastic screw clasps are designed to release if any pressure is applied to the joint. Cotton is also used for this reason and not silk.
