Description
Linseed (seed) Also known as Flaxseed - the whole seed of the linseed plant. Ideal for adding to bread, home grinding or sprinkling over cereal. One of the ingredients of "LSA". Linseed is the seed of a variety of the common flax plant. It is a good source of protein, as well as being high in minerals such as phosphorus, zinc, magnesium and calcium. Linseed is also a good source of Vitamin E, Beta-carotene and valuable plant lignin's which act as an antioxidant. Linseed contains soluble fibre, which has been shown to lower cholesterol. It is also rich in mucilage, which acts as a gentle laxative. Linseed is the most concentrated plant source of Omega-3 fatty acids, which is necessary for the normal functioning of the body's metabolic growth and renewal processes.About Four Leaf Milling
