We used to sell the fresh bunches - but unless they are grown locally and harvested on the day or the day before the leaves ten to wilt quickly - so we just buy the topped beets from the growers. Mind you if the leaves are fresh - they make great juice as the green component, and also cooked as a substitute for chard or silverbeet.
