Description

2001 Reserve Cabernet Petit Verdot Tasting notes Deep red, starting to show some red brick hues. Intense aromas of ripe berry and minty cabernet notes complexed by spice and cigar box characters. The palate shows ripe berries supported by firm mouth-coating tannins and well integrated oak. This wine finishes with great length and bottle age complexity. Winemakers notes After crushing, the must was fermented in open fermenters before being pressed at 0.9° Be`. All the pressings were included with the free-run wine. The wine was innoculated for malocactic fermentation and then transferred to new French oak stackvats, where it spent approximately 12 months. The wine was bottled during February 2003.
