Poppy Seeds

Description

These Poppy Seeds are tiny blue-grey coloured seeds derived from the dried pod of the poppy plant. Poppy seeds have a slightly nutty aroma and taste and are often dry-roasted or soaked and ground prior to using. They can be sprinkled on to cakes, breads, biscuits and muffins for a delicious nutty flavour and texure. Soaked poppy seeds can also be combined with other spices and added to gravies and curries as a thickener. Origin - Australia
